DHARAMSHALA — The Office of the Auditor General (OAG) continues its commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing through its monthly staff presentation series. Over the past two months, OAG staff members have delivered insightful storytelling sessions covering a wide array of topics, from financial management systems to rich Tibetan history and personal wellness.

This session featured another strong lineup of four presenters:

  • Internal Committee Guidelines: Thinley Chodon la outlined the POSH Act 2013 and guidelines for the prevention of sexual and gender-based violence, offering practical suggestions for the composition and record-keeping of the office’s Internal Committee.
  • History of the Nechung Oracle: Tenzin Younten la delivered a deeply researched history of the Nechung Oracle (Dorje Drakden), explaining the protector spirit’s role as the principal protector for the Ganden Phodrang government and the unique selection process for the human medium.
  • Vipassana Meditation: Nyima Lhazom la shared her personal journey with Vipassana Meditation, introducing the 2500-year-old technique revived by S.N. Goenka and explaining the three stages of mind training: Sīla, Samādhi, and Paññā.
  • Indoor Planting: Tenzin Donsel la explored the concept of “Accidental Curiosity” through her experience with indoor plants, discussing NASA’s research on air purification and the origins of popular plants like the Peace lily and Monstera.

The OAG extends its gratitude to all the presenters across both months for sharing their knowledge with such confidence and engaging storytelling. These sessions continue to foster a collaborative and well-rounded workplace environment.
