
Dharamshala: The Office of the Auditor General, Central Tibetan Administration, inaugurated a three-day Tally Advance Training program focused on Tally Audit. This specialised training, held from 2 to 4 January 2025 at Administrative Training & Welfare Society (ATWS), Khanyara, Dharamshala, aims to equip participants with advanced skills for analysing audits through Tally software, a key step in integrating modern technology into auditing practices.
The training program saw participation from 10 individuals, including 3 representatives each from the Head Office, Dekyiling Branch, and Bylakuppe Branch, along with 1 participant from the Nepal Branch. The initiative, funded by USAID with support from the National Democratic Institute (NDI), underscores the commitment to enhancing the technical capacity of audit professionals.
The opening session featured Additional Secretary Thinley Chomphel, who emphasised the significance of embracing technological advancements in the auditing process. “Tally Audit is a crucial step toward adapting modern technology in the audit domain. I encourage all participants to actively engage in the sessions and derive maximum benefit from this training,” he said during his address.
The training promises to provide participants with hands-on experience and insights into using Tally software for more efficient and accurate auditing. By the end of the three-day session, participants are expected to be well-versed in leveraging Tally tools for comprehensive audit analysis, paving the way for improved audit practices across branches.
This initiative reflects the Office of the Auditor General’s dedication to professional development and technological integration in auditing, ensuring accountability and transparency in financial practices.
